Who Am I?
Although my formal education is in the sciences (Chemistry and Nursing) I have always been drawn to artistic pursuits. I spent many years painting with oils until it became clear that the palette and easel could not withstand the onslaught of numerous, vibrant children. At that point I got my first DSLR camera, which rekindled the interest in photography that had begun in childhood. I have been at it ever since. My husband says that the advent of good, digital cameras has saved buckets of money at our house because I used up so much film. I am not sure he is right about that, but we’ll let him think so!As photo enhancement software became available I was able to expand my creative pursuits beyond the simple photo. I began with enhancing images, and moved on to restoring damaged photos. I also build collages, design cards and paint digital portraits from photos. I derive great satisfaction from creating photography-based art, and in restoring photographic history by bringing photos back from the disaster of old age and damage.

Hi, Mardi! I love your web site and wish you well in your new business! The photos of Idaho and Eastern Washington touch my heart deeply; my roots grow deep in the soil of the Palouse wheatlands! Congratulations on your new endeavor!
