Settled in Lunenburg Co, 1751, which later became Bedford Co
Received a grant of land on David’s Creek in 1760
Became quite wealthy and owned a large amount of land and many slaves. Bought several thousand acres of land 1761-1765. Each of his children received a plantation in his will.

Active in the political and civic affairs of the county until his death in 1795

states that he has found no record to support a marriage with Augustine, Sr. Records show that Mary Moxley m Joshua Early, Sr., 1779.
2nd wife: Elizabeth Stovall (widow of John Stovall) , 2 Dec 1779, without issue
