All of my painting is done from a digital image, by hand, on a computer.
I do not mass produce portraits with software filters.
Your original photo is NEVER altered.
Choosing a Photo
I can work from ordinary, amateur photos and can include special items that define the person(s). Choose photos with facial expressions that you love. I can make the background plain or include something special. If you want a hobby, award or talent to be shown in the background include a photo or information relating to that specialty. Be sure to read the “Copyright” section below before choosing photo(s).
How?
1. Upload digital images with your name, address, phone and desired end product, or mail photos for evaluation with the same information.
2. I will quote a price for the work and send you a PayPal invoice via email for a 50% deposit before I do the painting.
3. You approve the price and pay me securely online with Paypal.
4. When I complete the painting I will email the URL of a private site where you can preview the work.
5. When you are satisfied I will send you a PayPal invoice for the remainder of my fee.
6. Upon receipt of your payment I will send you the finished portrait on Fine Art Paper.
7. Enjoy your beautiful portrait.
Scanning
You can scan the photos yourself or take them to your local copy center and ask to have
them scanned and copied onto a CD. You can also send them to me for scanning and I will return the undamaged photo to you with your order.
Scanning Specifications:
Original size at 300 pixels per inch (ppi) for 8×10 inch photo or larger
Original size at 600 ppi for smaller photos
Do not use any filters such as color correction, sharpening, de-screening, or dust and scratch removal during the scanning process.
Save as JPEG images at “high” quality or in TIFF format.
Upload the image(s) email to me, or mail the disk to me (be sure to label the disk).

Upload the digital copies of your photos into your computer from the CD.
Upload the photos to me with your name, address and phone number.
Mailing Original Photos
Place your photo between two pieces of light cardboard slightly larger than the photo and
tape the edges of the cardboard together.
If you have more than one photo separate them with sheets of plain, white paper.
Be sure to include your name, address and phone number in mailer.
Encase the prepared photos in plastic.
Mail in padded envelope or photo mailer.
Label the envelope: “PHOTOS – DO NOT BEND.”
Copyright
You are responsible for copyright violations. When you submit an image you are certifying that you are the owner or that you have the owner’s permission to use, alter and distribute the image. If the image has the copyright symbol, you must obtain a written release signed by the copyright owner allowing the original to be reproduced and/or altered. This waiver must accompany the original when you send your photos to us for restoration.
Satisfaction Guaranteed
Once I have finished your painting, you may view it at a private URL, which I will email to you. When you are satisfied I will return the original and mail your painting to you.
Output
I will send you one copy of your portrait printed on Epson Velvet Fine Art Paper in a size up to 13 x 19 inches at no extra charge. Additional copies are $10.00 per 13 x 19 inch sheet of Epson Velvet Fine Art Paper.
Prints on 8.5 x 11 inch Epson Luster photo paper are $5.00 per sheet
One 8 x 10 in = 1 sheet
5 x 7 in = 2 per sheet
3 x 5 in = 4 per sheet
One 5 x 7 and four wallets = 1 sheet
Sizes larger than 13 x 19 inches are outsourced and available at cost. The price is determined on an individual basis. This additional charge will be noted up front in the PayPal invoice presented to you before you pay.
Return
Your order will be carefully packaged and shipped to you. I will email you a tracking number, and will require your signature on arrival.
Privacy
I do not share your information with anyone, ever. Since you pay securely via PayPal we never see your credit card.
